Zelda A.(nee Eckberg), age 93, of Apple Valley, MN, formerly of Mankato, MN, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents, John & Emma Eckberg; and 3 brothers, Lyle, Bob and Bill Eckberg. Zelda is survived by her daughter, Patricia Grane and son-in-law, Hubert Back; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was a lifetime member of Cereal Chapter #2 of the Order of Eastern Star, a Campfire Girl Guardian, hospital volunteer, taught Confirmation & Sunday School, and worked in women’s clothing at multiple department stores until she retired at the age of 79. Zelda’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 11 AM in the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley with her visitation one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato, MN.
