Winston Paul Riedesel

Winston P. Riedesel, age 84, of Hastings, passed away September 3, 2011 at The Minnesota Veteran's Home in Minneapolis. He was born in Rockford, IL on June 24, 1927 to Henry and Ruth Riedesel. Winston graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Engineering. He married Donna Collins on June 23, 1989 in Stillwater. Winston retired in 1995 from the Army Corps of Engineers.He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kent. Winston is survived by his wife, Donna; step- son, Brian (Janice) Collins; grandson, Nicholas; sister, Phyllis Palmer; twin brother, Wilson (Sue) Riedesel; brother, Keith (Margy) Riedesel; sister, Joan Riedesel; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service is being held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7 at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A Visitation will be held 3 hours prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford, IL. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
