William "Bill" Paulson

William R. "Bill" Paulson, age 82 of Hastings and formerly Prescott, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 18, 2020, at United Hospital in St. Paul. William Roger, the son of Albert and Louise (Nelson) Paulson, was born on November 24, 1937, in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Following his graduation from Hastings High School, Bill began working various jobs until being a longtime employee at Montgomery Ward. Bill was united in marriage to Joyce Fox, and they were blessed with one son, Tracy. Following a medical condition, Joyce preceded Bill in death. Bill also endured the loss of his son Tracy due to a motorcycle accident. Bill enjoyed visiting the casino, especially Treasure Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Paulson and Louise (Frank) Eckert; wife, Joyce; son, Tracey; and by his siblings, Don Paulson and Delores Reed. Bill is survived his sisters, Birdie (Ken) Brown, Ginny (Vern) Meier, and Judy (Wally) Groth; and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2020, at Pine Glen Cemetery in Prescott, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
