Wayne Richard Havican

Wayne Richard Havican, age 66 of Welch, died suddenly on February 11, 2015. Wayne was born May 28, 1948 in Shakopee, MN to James and Olive (Snelgrove) Havican. At a young age, his family moved to New Zealand and he received his education there. Wayne married Glenis Mortimer on October 13, 1973 in New Zealand. He was a self-employed carpenter by trade. He was preceded by his parents. Wayne is survived by his wife, Glenis; sons Darryn (Dawn) Havican of Bangor, WI, Simon (Amber) Havican of Hastings, Blair (Celeste) Havican of Red Wing, and Scott (Larissa) Anderson and family of New Zealand; grandchildren, Grant, Austin, Hailey, Carley, and Anthony; siblings Gloria (Mike) Broczek of New Zealand, Barbara (Gary) Jackson of New Zealand, Carie Havican (John) of Australia, and David (Karen) Havican of New Zealand; also nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The Memorial Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, February 21 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings with visitation held one hour prior to the service.
