Wayne M. House, age 80 of Hastings, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Friday morning, November 20, 2020. Wayne Marshall, the son of Martin and Dorothy (Hughes) House, was born on September 26, 1940, in Minneapolis. At a young age, Wayne's family moved to California where he attended school. He then enjoyed many fun times in Reno and Vegas in his younger years. Wayne returned back to Minnesota where he met his wife Gwen, and later moved to Harrisburg, South Dakota, where he owned and operated Main Street Body Shop for ten years. Wayne had a true passion for restoring old cars and had a reputation for his ability to do a great job. He later moved to the Twin Cities where he became known as the taxi driver that was always dressed professionally. Wayne loved riding motorcycles and could impersonate just about every character you asked him to. He also enjoyed shooting, camping, fishing, dancing to Frank Sinatra and Patsy Kline, and was a very talented artist. More recently, Wayne enjoyed taking trips to Treasure Island with his friends. Wayne will forever be remembered for his charm and humor, and for his ability to connect with just about anyone he ran into. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Teddy, Cindy, Missy, and Timmy; and by his son, Wayne Jr. Wayne is survived by his children, Tim House (Olga Aponte), Bobbie (Peter) Neuharth, Mallory House, and Emery House; grandchildren, Cole Millerbernd, Cora Neuharth, and Caden Neuharth; former wife, Gwen Slotto; special friend, Joyce; and by other relatives and good friends at Oak Ridge in Hastings. A Celebration of Wayne's Life is pending and will be announced when details are coordinated. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
