Warren Clarence Penrose

Warren Clarence Penrose, age 87, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025 at his home.

Born in Parkers Prairie, MN on May 15, 1938, Warren graduated from Lakeville High School in 1956 and attended Moorhead College for two years on a basketball scholarship. Deciding college wasn't for him, he moved to Minneapolis and took a job at Daytons in the paint department. From this modest beginning, he built a successful career in retail, culminating in the position of Merchandising Manager at one of the biggest drug store wholesalers in the upper Midwest.

Warren loved fishing, hunting, and competitive sports. Coaching little league baseball and golfing were a particular joy for him.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pauline (Kraemer) Penrose; wives, Linda and Donna; and his son, Shane.

He is survived by his children, Jeff Penrose (Jennifer), Paul Penrose (Sue), John Penrose; and his seven grandchildren, Bryan, Cody, Mathew, Melissa, Ryan, Chris, and Olivia.

A loving husband and father, Warren will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family. He always believed in himself and was determined not to fail in his responsibilities. His wisdom will sorely be missed.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Warren on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Starkson Family ~ Anderson Chapel, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, MN, with a visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
