Walter "Wally" James Seleski

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Walter “Wally” James Seleski, on February 6, 2026, due to cardiac arrest. He was 67 years old.

Wally retired in Piedmont, SC (formerly of Hastings and Wannamingo, MN) after working in the plastics extrusion industry for several decades. At the height of his career, he was a Plant Superintendent with a degree in Business Management. An accomplishment he was very proud of.

His greatest source of pride were his children and all they’ve accomplished and overcame. He was particularly proud of their military service to our country during peace and war.

Wally was a great friend to many all over the United States from MN to NY/NJ and SC and left fond memories for all who knew him. His laugh could fill the room and if something was really funny, a giggle would occur. He loved to go fishing, cook/grill out, had a strong connection with animals, and never missed a good time or a good “debate”.

Wally worked hard, played hard, lived hard, and loved hard. He will be dearly missed.

Wally is survived by his sons Nicholas and Matthew, stepdaughter Mandy, step granddaughter Hannah, his beloved dog and loyal sidekick Tagger, and his siblings Paul, Gerald, and Valerie as well as extended family and relatives.

A special thank you to the neighbors and friends of Wally’s in Piedmont, SC for the help and care they gave to him in his time of need.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
