Walter M. Bauer

A Lifelong Farmer of Hastings, MN, Walter was surrounded by his wife Rose and family members when he died at Augustana Health Care Center. Walter was the son of Joseph & Mary (Raway) Bauer, lived on and worked the family farm all his life. In addition , he was involved in many community service and church, and was a member of the K of C's. He enjoyed gardening, and his favorite pass time was fishing in the area lakes and going on fishing trips to Canada. Preceding Walter in death were his siblings, Leonard, Lawrence, Carl, Rosie, Helen (Kummer), Josephine (Dreis), Florence, & Annette. He is survived by his wife Rose; 7 children, David (Pat), Tom (Nancy), Tim, Jane Worden, Dan (Sharon), Joel (Deb), & Joan (Todd) Jagerson; also 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 9th at ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2035 W. 15th St. in Hastings. Interment parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. Monday at the CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, and also 1 hour prior to the Tuesday service at church.�
