Whitfield, Walter J. age 57, of Apple Valley. Preceded in death by grandparents, Willie & Trula Whitfield and Rev. BB and Luetta Gillespie; father, Arthur Gillespie; step-father, Henry Duncan. Survived by loving wife, Mary; son, Christopher; daughter, Ayla; mother, Mary Lou Duncan; siblings, Sandra, Mike & Arthur Gillespie, and Donna Jones; Aunt, Margaret Irons. Service Saturday 1:00 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett Ave S., Apple Valley, with visitation 1 hour before. Interment Lebanon Cemetery.
