Violet A. Turner

Violet Alene Turner, age 96, was born 4/20/1919 and died 9/16/2015 at Augustana Heath Care Center in Hastings MN. She cherished the times her grand kids and great grand kids would call her or visit her. She especially liked it when we would bring her cookies and candy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; special friend, Dick Fischer; great granddaughter, Katie Gamm; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Violet is survived by her daughter, DaVae (Maynard) Johnson; son, Jerry (Diana) Turner; sisters, Lucille and Arlys; brother, Harlan; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held on October 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred. The Wise Family Funeral Home is serving the family.
