Victoria Ann Jones

Victoria A. Jones, age 69, of Hastings died peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Regina Medical Center following an extended illness. Victoria Ann was born on September 4, 1945 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Luverne and Eleanor (Schaffer) Lidgerding. She attended high school in Red Wing and graduated with the class of 1963. Victoria was later married to J. Robert Jones and lived in Indianapolis where she was a very successful business owner with her husband. After his death, Victoria moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family and friends. She eventually continued her education in nursing and worked at Regina Medical Center for over twenty years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, making candy, and watching movies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband J. Robert Jones; and brothers, William, James, and Joseph. Victoria is survived by her brother, Michael (Jackie) Lidgerding of Wabasha; her sister-in-law, Marsha Lidgerding of Hastings; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Terry Beeson will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Miesville. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Red Wing. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services. Arrangements are being completed by the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home in Hastings.
