Vibeke A. Solac, nee Osterberg, died January 31, 2010. Born November 7, 1921 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Preceded in death by son, Christopher Solac; brother, Erik Osterberg. Survived by husband, Raymond, of Hastings; sons, Peter (Jean); Michael (Robin); Thomas; Paul; daughters, Mary; Theresa (Michael) Welch; grandchildren, Adele & Josephine Welch. Ray & Vibeke met in Denmark during WWII and continued a long distance relationship as she worked as a translator in three foreign languages for the Danish Embassy in Washington, D.C. before marrying in 1948.Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wed (2/3), 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at church. Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
