Vernon L., age 81, of Burnsville passed away peacefully on August 11, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Della Self and Edna Moody; 4 brothers, Howard, Darrell, Gerald and Carl Norris. Vern is survived by his loving wife, Beth; his 2 daughters, Amy (Dave) Ellis and Melissa (Scott) Marsyla; 6 grandchildren, Kristina, Corey, Tyler, Rebecca, Hailey and Avery; 3 sisters, Helen Hendricks, Margaret Marie (William) Foster and Betty Jo (Billy) Pierce; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Vern was a US Air Force Korean War Veteran and retired in 1996 after 30 years as a Crew Chief with Northwest Airlines. A celebration of Vern’s life will be held on Friday, August 16 from 4-7 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley with his memorial service to follow at 7 PM. Memorials preferred. Private family interment.
