Anderson, Vernon D. “Vern”

Age 77 of Apple Valley, passed away on Feb. 28, 2017 in his home after a long battle with colon cancer. Preceded in death by wife, Marcia “Marcie”; parents; his beloved pets and sidekick, Bud-E. He is survived by children, Bryan (Anita), Deborah (Nick) Vera, Dale, Russell and Sue Heitkamp; 14 grandchildren; 6½ great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Anderson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a proud member of the Osman Shriner Lodge 191 where he served as a Provost. Vern enjoyed participating in the Shrine Circus and parades. He also volunteered at the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Visitation from 4-7pm on Mon., March 6, 2017 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Funeral at 11 am on Tues., March 7, 2017 also at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Lebanon Cemetery.
