Vern Laverne Timmer

Timmer, LaVerne 'Vern', a loving family man, age 72 of Hastings, passed away October 21, 2007 at Regina Hospital in Hastings, MN. He was born to John and Marie (Dierkes) Timmer on January 16, 1935 in Washburn, Iowa. He married Barbara (Romine) on June 6, 1957 in Puerto Rico. Vern worked for over 27 years for ITT, which included extensive travel. He was currently employed with GE. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Romine) of Hastings; children, Michael (Debra) Timmer of Holden, MO; Tony Timmer of Brighton, CO; Lori Larson of Hastings; Lisa (Earl) Robinson of Hastings; Patrick (Jeanna) Timmer of Greenwood, CA; Jacque (John) Walsh of Hastings; 10 grandchildren; great-grandaughter, Ellie. Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Jacquelyn Larson; Laura Robinson; Amy Larson; Molly Robinson; Jaimie Walsh; Stephen Timmer; Joe Walsh; Sarah Timmer; Jacob Robinson; Michael Watkins. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St, Hastings, MN.
