Herbst, Troy H.Age 85 of Hastings, MN, passed away March 21, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Helen; brother, Vernon; and sisters, Doris; Dorothy; Marjorie; and Virginia. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, LaVina: son, Gary and his wife Leslie; daughter, Christy Schmitt and her husband Tom; son, Dean and his wife Robin; grandchildren, Courtney and Amber Schmitt.Troy was a proud member of the USMC, serving in the South Pacific during WWII.A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 27 from 1pm to 3pm at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring Street, Hastings, MN, the service will be at 2:00 p.m.. Luncheon following at the Hastings Senior Center. Private Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Hastings Senior Center, 213 Ramsey Street, Hastings, MN 55033.
