Timothy Bjerke, 62, of Prescott, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Timothy Albert Bjerke was born on October 29, 1958 in Rochester, MN, the oldest child of Albert and Janie (Thompson). He grew up in “Cowtown”, graduating from Hastings High School in 1976. On June 16, 1978, Tim married the love of his life, Christine Ann Denn, and they were blessed with a daughter, Moriah. Over the years, Tim worked at several area businesses, including Friar Tucks, Smead Manufacturing, Bergquist Company, and Henkel, retiring in 2020. In his spare time, Tim was an avid wildlife artist and also enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, cooking, fishing, and hunting. When Tim was seven years old, his parents bought him a drum set, which began his lifelong passion for music. As a talented percussionist, he played in numerous bands, including Grey Cloud, Compass, TMPR, and Broken Glass. Most important to Tim was time spent with his friends, family and grandchildren. Tim is survived by his daughter, Moriah Nei of Prescott, WI; Sue (Wally) Schweich of Hastings; grandchildren, Jade Nei, Owen Nei, and James Estlund; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his wife Christine Ann; and brother, Albert Nels Bjerke Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 5, 2021 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home, beginning at 10: AM. For those unable to attend Tim’s service, a live stream will be provided on the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel Facebook page. Interment will take place in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery in Hastings. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
