Timothy "Tim" Lawrence, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Benedictine Living Community in Hastings.
Born on August 21, 1944, in Saint Paul, MN, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Kukacka) Lawrence, Tim grew up in South Saint Paul and graduated from Cretin High School with the Class of 1962. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from June 1962 to August 1965. Following his service, Tim continued his education at Saint Cloud State University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Tim retired from Waterous, South St Paul.
In February 1968, Tim married, Susan "Sue" Radloff. They built a beautiful life rich in faith, family, and adventure. He enjoyed motorcycle trips, cross country travel in the motorhome and vacationing throughout Europe. He also loved golfing, hiking and woodworking. Known for his precise craftsmanship,Tim enjoyed tackling countless projects, each one a lasting reminder of his true talents.
Above all, Tim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His kindness, and quiet strength made him a role model to those who knew him best.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy, and his brother, Terry. He is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Kristine (Thomas) Burbank and Brian (Jennifer) Lawrence; grandchildren, Michael (Kendra) Burbank, Hunter Burbank, Brady (Jayne) Burbank, Reed Lawrence, Claire Lawrence, and Jayson Barber; brothers, Tom (Kathy); Rich (Mary); and sister-in-law Kathi; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Allina Health Hospice, Hastings Benedictine Living Community (select Regina Hastings from dropdown menu), or a charity of your choice.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with visitation beginning one hour prior to Mass. Private family interment will take place in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
