It is with heavy hearts that we share the death of Thomas Edward Turck (“Tommy T”), 78, of Apple Valley, MN. Tom passed away on June 16, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; his three children, Michele (Chad) Stout, Josh (Lindsey) Turck and Mel (Bijan) Vafaei; and his four grandchildren, Jackson, Payton, Cameron and Carsen. He also leaves behind two sisters, Judy (Turck) Weston and Edwardine “Eddy” (Turck) Magnus and many more family and friends.
Tom was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late Edward and Mitzie Turck on May 1, 1948. He grew up in Elm Grove, WI and went to Catholic Memorial Highschool. He enjoyed two years of college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before being drafted into the Army. He went on to manage the family grocery store Turck’s Food Fare in New Berlin, WI until its closure. He created Corporate Facility Enterprises when he joined the facility services world that grew into multiple offices in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
He enjoyed sailing on Lake Michigan in his beloved Quacker, playing tennis at Moorland Tennis Club, later picking up and playing pickleball every day and was also an avid reader. He loved photography and spending as much time with his grandchildren as possible. His love for the Green Bay Packers ran deep and anyone he ran into wearing purple and gold on a gameday would know it. Tom’s fondest memories and most outrageous stories came from the time he spent in Trout Lake.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to all that have reached out with kind words. Tom was a true gem and will be missed every day at 5pm when happy hour begins. Put on some Frank Sinatra or jazz to raise a glass every opportunity you have to remember one of the greats.
The immediate family will take Tom’s ashes to Trout Lake at a later date for a final sendoff befitting of “Charlie”.
