Thomas Richard Maroney

Thomas Richard Maroney, age 57 of Apple Valley, born June 25, 1948 in St. Paul, MN, died peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family January 2, 2006. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Merlyn Maroney. Thomas is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Terry; 10 children and step-children: Jennifer (Joseph) Sewpersaud, Michael (Arian Metz) Maroney, Matthew (Camas) Maroney, John (Kassie) Maroney, Eric Maroney, Gregory (Ann) Mattson, Catherine Mattson, Michael (Tricia) Mattson, Karen (Mark) Jilk, and Sharon (Chad) Ramey; 12 grandchildren: Jack, Luke, Claire, Annabelle, Aiden, Calvin, Alexis, Joey, Austin, Ailah, Matthew, and Alissa; 3 sisters: Janet (Carey) Favorite, Catherine (David) Nurmi, and Deb (Kevin) Sullivan; and many extended family members and friends. Still believing in Santa Claus, Tommy’s favorite holiday was Christmas. Visitation, 2 – 5 PM, Sunday, Jan. 8, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and also one hour before the service Monday at church. Funeral service, 11:00 AM, Monday, January 9, 2006 at House of Hope Presbyterian Church, 797 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Memorials preferred to Toys for Tots.
