Peterson, Thomas R.

Age 68 of Eagan, born November 3, 1949 in Minneapolis to Robert and Phyllis Peterson, passed away, surrounded by family, October 12, 2018.  Tom was a police officer with the Minneapolis Police Department for 28 years and 15 years as an investigator with the City Attorneys Office.  He is preceded in death by his nephew, Andy.  Tom will be dearly missed by his wife of 29 years, Shari; son, Jeff (Tara) Peterson; daughter, Emily (Nick) ­­­­­Barrett; grandchildren, Jack and Harlow; brothers, Gary (Judy) and Richard (Julie); nephew, Luke (Amanda); niece, Hannah; great-nephew, Vincent and numerous other family and friends.  Visitation, 5-7 PM, Wed., Oct 17, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley.  Memorial service, 11:00 AM, Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 with visitation one hour before, at River Hills United Methodist Ch., 11100 River Hills Dr., Burnsville.  Tom will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
