THOMAS L. BATES age 62 of Hastings passed away December 28, 2008. He was born in Iowa on July 27, 1946 to Willard and Helen Bates. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by daughters, Kelly (Chris) Hochstetler of Council Bluffs, IA; and Krista Bates of Hastings; grandchildren, Hayley and Tanner Hochstetler of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters, Karen (Ron) Becker of Hastings; and Jerri (Tom) Warntjes of Spencer, IA; brothers, Larry ( Nancy) Geisinger of Spencer, IA; Oren (Kathy) Geisinger of Ames, IA; Greg Geisinger of Hastings; Steven (Peggy) Bates of Fayetteville, NC; Michael (Peggy) Geisinger of Gilbert, AZ; and Richard (Jackie) Geisinger of Hastings; step-mother, Helen Bates of Fayetteville, NC; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral Service, Wed. (12/31) at 11:00 a.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings.
