Thomas J. "Tommy" Hendricks

Thomas J. "Tommy" Hendricks, age 46, of Hastings, died suddenly on June 29, 2020. Thomas Jerome was born on July 7, 1973, in South St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in Hastings MN and lived in Hastings most of his life. His Lord called him home June 29, 2020. We were blessed to have him in our lives for nearly 47 years. Our hearts are broken but we are comforted knowing he is with his Savior and is at peace now and for all eternity. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Hendricks Sr. and grandmother, Lois McNamara. Tom leaves behind his family: daughter, Michaela Snyder; wife, Maya Hendricks; step-daughter, Caprice Van den Assum; mom and dad, Tom and Kathy Sasik; brothers, Bradley and Christopher Hendricks, Christopher (Amy) Sasik, Greg (Peggy Sasik), sister, Kim (Dan) Vic; niece, Corrin; and nephews, Kyle and Zachary, Derek "Cuz" Sasik; aunt, Barb; great-aunt, Ede; his extended family in North Carolina and his little buddy Titan. He had an infectious smile that would light up the room and he loved to laugh. Tom enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing as much as he could. He found solace listening to music and playing his guitar. Tom was a very caring, compassionate, and giving person who, on many occasions, gave his last dollar or furnished a meal to a stranger in need. Most of all he loved his family and his Lord Jesus Christ. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings, with Rob Bednarik officiating. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to the service, and also to a reception immediately following the service, all at the funeral home on Friday.
