Downs, Thomas J., age 53, an avid hunter and fisherman of Hastings, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2009. He was born on May 29, 1956 in Minneapolis to Edward and Maxine Downs. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward. He is survived by his children, Emily; Katelyn; and Taylor Downs and Micah Conroy; grandchildren Kayla; Kai; and Julian; mother, Maxine Downs; sister, Nancy (Jerry) Miller; brothers, Edward (Kathy) Downs; Bob (Sue) Downs; Steve (Sherry) Downs; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service, Sunday (6/14), 3:00 p.m., at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Visitation 2 hours prior to service.
