Theresa A. Gerlach

Theresa Gerlach, age 86, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Prescott Nursing Home in Prescott, WI. She was born on July 12, 1938, the daughter of Sylvester and Leona King.
Theresa grew up in Miesville and graduated from Hastings High School with the Class of 1956. On January 24, 1959, she married Donald Gerlach at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville. Theresa dedicated many years to raising their six children. After they were grown, she worked in the office at the Sheriff’s Department.
She enjoyed many hobbies, including golfing, gardening, cooking, calligraphy, traveling, sewing, and walking.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Leona King; her brother, George King; and her brother-in-law, Lee Serres. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; children, Cheryl (Tom) Fink, Jacqueline (Bernard) Doffing, Tom Gerlach, Ann (Brian) Wellens, Jean (Michael) Theissen, and Nancy Gerlach; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Irene Serres; and many other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2035 15th Street West Hastings, MN 55033) with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at a later date in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Miesville, MN. Arrangements are being handled by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
