Theodore E. "Ted" Johnson

Theodore E. "Ted' Johnson, age 90 of Hastings, died peacefully.

Ted was born on a family farm in rural Hudson, Wisconsin. He graduated from Hudson High School with the class of 1952. Ted proudly served his country in the National Guard and Navy. On June 24, 1961, he married Lorraine Sieben in Hastings. Ted and Lorraine enjoyed camping with relatives, dancing, and playing cards. For most of his life, Ted worked for 3M Chemolite and retired as a foreman in the glass bead building.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Laura (VonKuster) Johnson; brothers, George, Vern and Lynn; brothers-in-law, Don, Clarence, and Leander; sisters-in-law, Trudy, Betty, Loretta, Sister Petrann, Lucille, Dorothy, and Rose.

Ted is survived by his wife, Lorraine; son, Jeff (Deb) Johnson; daughter, Brenda (Paul) Irvin; grandsons, Jim and Tom; great grandsons, James and Carter; sister, Arlene Croes; brothers-in-law, Al (BettyLou Baysinger) Sieben, and Tony (Carole) Sieben; sister-in-law, Stella Johnson; and by many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at church. Due to construction at church, please use the West entrance near Mother Seton Hall.
