Terrance E. "Terry" Maher

Terrance E. "Terry" Maher, age 78 of Hastings, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. He grew up in South St. Paul and moved to Hastings when he was in his twenties. He started working for his grandfather and father's family business, Maher Well Drilling when he was 16 until his later years when he developed health problems. Terry was known by many as "Hard Rock." He spent the last few months of his life being cared for by his granddaughter Samantha. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Maher, and his mother, Monica C. Maher and his sister, Ann Williams and nephew, John Gahler. He is survived by his long time partner and best friend, Judy Kaase; twin brother, Thomas (Marilyn) Maher; sister, Sheila (Mike) Gahler; Judy's family- Sue Kaase, Billy Kaase, Bobby Kaase, and Jody; grandchildren, Sara Davis, Samantha Kaase, Nick Kaase, Brandon Kaase, and Nathan Kaase; and 3 great grandchildren; brother in law, Eugene Williams; many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service, from 9:30 to 11:30. Reception will follow the memorial service. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
