T. Melvina Rotty

T. Melvina Rotty, age 86 of Hastings died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Augustana Health Care Center. Melvina was born in Hastings on May 11, 1926 to Martin and Louise (Boser) O�Shaughnessy. She was a 1944 graduate of Hastings High School and then attended banking school. Melvina married Clarence Rotty on July 2, 1953 in Hastings. She had worked at First National Bank, with the Central Natural Gas Co., and then owned and operated Hastings Hardware and worked with her husband, Clarence as secretary at Hastings Auction Service. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Venita O�Shaughnessy. Melvina is survived by her husband Clarence, and nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke, will be held 11 AM Monday, April 1 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St, Hastings, with visitation after 9 AM. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Lloyd Peine, Lloyd Staiger, Henry Fox, John Seeger, Stu Wierke, Pat Kelsch and Dick Rother. Honorary pallbearers are Dubie Swanson, Alice Healey, Marguerita Marschall, Tillie Johnson, Susie Dushane and Lois Bauer.
