Susan "Sue" Doerr, age 60 of Hastings, died peacefully following a brief illness on Wednesday afternoon, May 5, 2021, at United Hospital in St. Paul. Susan Ella, the daughter of Orville and Angie (Niebling) Doerr, was born on July 22, 1960, in Red Wing, Minnesota. Following her education at Hastings High School, Sue was united in marriage to Randy Taylor in Farmington, and they were blessed with two daughters, Sara and Naomi, prior to later being divorced. Often known as "Mama Sue", Sue's pride and joy was spending time with her family and friends and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting with friends and also kept close contact with her extended family members. Sue will forever be remembered for giving the best hugs with a smile no matter what was going on. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother Johnny Doerr. Sue is survived by her daughters, Sara (Steve) Kaiser and Naomi Taylor (Patrick Evans); grandchildren, Jade, Avah, Nicholas, and Kenzie; siblings, Terrie (Todd) Lorentz and Wayne Doerr; and by many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Sue's Life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
