Steven "Suds" Swanson

Steven "Suds" Swanson, age 68 of Hastings, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Steven Arthur, the son of Harlan and Glennis (Anderson) Swanson, was born on November 1, 1951 at the Red Wing Hospital. Known as Suds, he grew up in Hastings and he graduated from Hastings High School with the Class of 1970. Following graduation, he attended St. Paul Technical Vocational Institute and worked as a draftsman for TKDA. He worked in civil engineering for his entire career. While he wasn't working, he enjoyed golfing, photography, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by, his mother, Glennis. Steven is survived by his father, Harlan; son, Adam (Renae) Swanson; stepsons, Jay Kronmiller, Justin (Sara) Kronmiller and Sam Master; granddaughters, Sadie, Leylia and Harlee; brother, Mike (Barb) Swanson; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Hastings, with Reverend Lloyd Menke officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Following the service, a gathering will take place at Spiral Brewery in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
