Steven J. Trejo

On Sunday, April 17, 2022, Steven J. Trejo, loving husband, son, brother and friend passed away in Katy, Texas at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with cancer. His loved ones will long remember his strong faith, kindness, generosity, sense of humor, love of life and endearing spirit. Steven was born to Andrew Joseph Trejo and Gloria Ann Trejo (both deceased ) on November 29, 1960 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He married Elizabeth (Rivera) Trejo on March 24, 2001 in Houston, Texas. He worked in retail for the past 25 years, his last position was Senior Produce Clerk at Sprouts in Houston, Texas. He had many interests that included dog sled racing in his early years, working on home projects, traveling with his wife, listening to music, playing guitar, attending concerts, barbecuing, spending time with family& friends and was an avid sports fan of the Astros, Houston Texans, Rockets and Dallas Cowboys. He was extremely proud of over coming his personal life long challenges. The knowledge gained from that experience, allowed him to lead a productive, loving and fulfilling life. This too, enabled him to enrich the lives of others, by being a mentor and an advisor to those facing similar issues. Steven is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Joseph Trejo & Gloria Ann Trejo, and his brother, David Thomas Trejo. He was a man with a warm heart and his amazing life will forever be cherished by his adoring wife, Elizabeth Trejo, brothers and sisters, Yolanda Elizondo (Art) Lake Balboa, Ca., Ronald Trejo (Deborah) Apple Valley, Mn., Sharon Trejo Edinburg, Tx., Paula Trejo, sister-in-law, Hastings, Mn., Victor Trejo (Lora) Edinburg, Tx., Lisa Moser (Kim) Pollock, S.D., aunts, uncles, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street Hastings, Minnesota. The family invites friends to join them for a visitation from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Service will be live streamed.
