Steven "Enzie" Endres Sr.

Steven “Enzie” Endres Sr., age 70, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at United Hospital in Saint Paul.Born on March 26, 1955, in Hastings, Minnesota, Steve was the son of Cleo and Arnold “Andy” Endres. He grew up in Hastings and proudly graduated from Hastings High School with the Class of 1973. He later earned an associate’s degree in landscape horticulture, a field that suited his love for the outdoors.

Steve began his career with Rauenhorst/Opus Construction before spending eight years with Minnesota Greenery. When the company was purchased by All Seasons Wild Bird Store, he continued his work there for 31 years until his retirement in January 2022.

In retirement, Enzie embraced the things he loved most—hunting, the outdoors, watching westerns, NASCAR racing, and playing cribbage. He was also a proud member of the NRA. Above all, his greatest joy in life was raising his three children and spending time with his family and friends. Known for his quick wit, big heart, and strong will, Steve could strike up a conversation with anyone—and many who met him quickly became lifelong friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Andy; and brother, Mike.

He is survived by his children, Becky (Jason) Becker, Steven Jr. (fiancée, Michell King) Endres, and Nicole Endres; grandchildren, Vincent Becker and Devin Endres; sisters, Kathryn (Alan), Louann (Dave), Cheryl (Lynn), and Susan (Dave); the Angerman family and Robin, lifelong friends; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Memory Sharing Service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, with visitation beginning one hour prior. A reception will follow the service.
