Age 87 of Hopkins, formerly of Minneapolis. Born July 24, 1921, to Daniel and Mary Proskin in Sandy Lake, Manitoba, Canada. Passed away August 1, 2008. Retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. WWII veteran, Royal Canadian Air Force. Survived by loving wife of 64 years, Angeline; children: Gerry (Sharon), Larry, and Cheryl (Darrel) Anderson; grandchildren: Steve, Emily (Bill), Tony (Denise), Jessica, Elizabeth and Brandon; great-grandson, Jacob; sister Alice Phillips; brothers-in-law: Neno (Dolly), Marce (Nellie) and Rocky (Anna) Provinciano ; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Chapel View Care Center and Hospice Services. Visitation, 6-8 PM, Thursday, August 7, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640-23rd Ave. S., Mpls., and one hour before the Mass Friday. Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM, Friday, August 8, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 680 Mill St. , Excelsior. Interment follows at Resurrection Cemetery, Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
