Stanley R. Johnson

Stanley R. Johnson, age 92, of Hastings died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his home.He was born May 14, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN to John and Anna (Markstrom) Johnson. He was a graduate of Minneapolis Washburn High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps having served in WW II. He worked for over 35 years for Bor-Son Construction retiring as a construction superintendent. Stanley married Hazel (Carpenter) Mitchell 10/4/1986 in Annandale, MN.Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law Bob Burgess and a sister Vera (Bob) Bjorklund. He is survived by his wife Hazel of Hastings, a son Gary (Marla) Johnson and their daughter Stacy (Troy) Tonnessen and their children Brittni Brooke; daughters Dena Havlik and her children Mykel, Katana Autumn; Leslie Johnson (Steve DeGross); Judy Burgess and her children Mike (Ann) Burgess and their children Alyssa Breanna and Kelly (Tim) Singer and their children Tate Ellie; DeDe (Dan) Truhler; Niecy (Randy) Brockman and their children Ross Carlee; also by many other relatives and friends.The funeral service, officiated by Gordon Gathright will be at 2 PM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 201 7th St. E., Hastings, MN. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be held later atOak Hill Cemetery in Minneapolis. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
