Stanley E. Tornes

Tornes, Stanley E. age 80, of Mpls. Beloved husband, dad & grandpa. Preceded in death by son, James Matthew. Survived by wife, Carol, of 57 years; sons, Mike (Bonnie), Jack and Larry (Andreya); daughter, Sue (Jim) Romain; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Joe, Charlie, Sean, Kyle, Blake, Carter and Thomas; sisters, Esther Keltner, Marie Mosal and Kathleen (Ed) Condon; many nieces, nephews and friends. Retired mail carrier for US Postal Service, 28 years of service. In retirement he had 20 years of the good life. Golf trips to lake cabin, trips south in winter, enjoyed many games of bridge & cribbage with friends and board games with grandchildren. Service Tuesday, 11 AM, Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, 4101 37th Ave. S. Visitation Monday, 4-7 PM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S. and one hour before service at church. Interment Lakewood. Memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
