Stanley A. Langenfeld

Stanley Anthony, youngest child of 10 of Henry and Eleanor (Foss) Langenfeld, was born on February 27, 1947 in Hastings, MN. He grew up in rural Hastings on the family farm. After his graduation from high school in 1966, he was drafted into the US Army in September of 1966. He served honorably in the Vietnam campaign until September of 1968 where he earned a National Defense Service medal, Republic of Vietnam campaign medal and Vietnam Service medal. Stanley proudly worked at Brockway Glass from 1970 to 1985, when the plant was closed. Stanley then worked at various other jobs, including at Factory Motor Parts for over 20 years until his retirement. Stanley then met his love Patricia at Oak Ridge Manor in Hastings in 2011 and they were married on October 6, 2012. Stanley was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus 1600 and followed in his dad's footsteps by maintaining the KC Hall for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandkids and playing with his dogs, Noodles and Mae. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick Langenfeld; stepdaughter Shannon Childs; four sisters, Elvira, Dorlaine, Janet and Patricia; and by three brothers, Loran, Ralph and Francis. Stanley is survived by his wife Patricia; his son, Kenneth (Danielle) Langenfeld; grandchildren Bonnie Kisch, Jesse, Jerod, Jack, McKenzie and Megan Langenfeld; stepchildren Kim Roper and Brandon (Kris) Mundinger; step grandchildren Christopher, Bryton, Hailie, Allie, Emmy and Jake; step great grandchild Jaden; siblings Ronald (Sharon) Langenfeld and Myron (Edie) Langenfeld; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 2:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
