Shawn Michael Murphy

Shawn Michael Murphy, age 40, of Eagle Lake, FL, formerly of Hastings died September 5th, 2008.Hewas born in Red Wing on December 13, 1967 to George and Gloria (Myers) Murphy. He was a 1986 graduate of Hastings High School, attended St. Cloud State and moved to Florida in 1993 where he worked as a superintendent/groundskeeper at several golf courses. Shawn was a people person with a real �gift of gab�. He was preceded in death by his grandparents William H. and Ethel (Schneider) Murphy and Al Myers. Shawn is survived by his two sons Caleb and Gaige; parents George and Gloria of Hastings; sister Rachelle (Jason) Lundgren of Lakeville; brother Brian Murphy and grandmother Dolores Myers, both of Hastings. The funeral mass, officiated by Fr. James Perkl will be held at 10am Monday, September 15th at ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. The interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Matt Fritz, Ryan Ruiz, David Murphy, Jerry Kelly, Brady Robinson, and Gary Schack.The visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH, Mother Seton Hall, west entrance from 4-8pm Sunday and also1 hour prior to the Monday service at the church.
