Sharon Lea Ryder

Sharon L. Ryder, age 85, of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Sharon was born on April 24, 1941, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Delbert and Elizabeth Brom. She grew up in a large family in St. Paul, where she attended school and graduated from Johnson High School.

Sharon later met the love of her life, Gerald "Jerry" Ryder. The couple was united in marriage on January 16, 1960, in St. Paul and shared many wonderful years together building their family.

Sharon enjoyed spending time on the family's houseboat along the St. Croix River, taking walks, and caring for her pet birds. She was especially fond of one bird in particular, Lexi.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her children, Scott Ryder, Jeff Ryder, Lori Ryder-Harper, and Michelle Ryder; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her surviving siblings, Ron Brom and Kathy Pfeifer; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry; her parents, Delbert and Elizabeth Brom; and many other beloved relatives.
