Shannon Marie Childs

Shannon (Mundinger) Childs, age 47 of Jordan and formerly of Hastings, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.Shannon Marie, the daughter of Larry and Patricia (Kearns) Mundinger, was born on May 26, 1968 in St. Paul. After graduating from Hastings High School, Shannon briefly continued her education at Inver Hills Community College. She enjoyed beading and making jewelry and her grandpups. Shannon will always be remembered for her craziness and her hilarious sense of humor.She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence.Shannon is survived by her boyfriend, Roger Payne of Jordan; her daughters, Ally Childs (Brandon Matsch) of River Falls, WI and Emmy Childs of Woodbury; her mother, Patricia (Stan) Langenfeld of Vermillion; her siblings, Kim (Rob) Roper of Hastings and Brandon (Kris) Mundinger of Cottage Grove; and by her niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.A Celebration of Shannons Life will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the American Legion Post 47, 50 Sibley Street, Hastings. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
