Scooter Scott A. Matz

Scott A. 'Scooter' Matz, age 55, of Hastings, passed away suddenly October 29, 2013. He was born in Hastings to Edward and Roxana Matz on March 22, 1958. He married Lori on Sept. 22, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings. He was preceded in death by his father; and wife, Sharon. Scooter is survived by his wife, Lori; children, Abby (Scott) Mims; Angie Matz (Phil Shannon); and Kristina Pechacek; mother Roxana Matz; siblings, Bart (Pam) Matz; Barb (Brian) Tonkin; Guy (Cindy) Matz; Eric (Jenny) Matz; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.A Funeral Service will be held on Sat. (11/2) at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 602 Vermillion St., Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
