Sally Ann (O’Connor) Barrow
Sally Barrow passed away peacefully on 9/14/2026 in her home at Timber Hills, a Presbyterian Home in Inver Grove Heights, MN. She was 94 years old. She was born Dec. 19th, 1931, in Saint Paul, MN. Sally was the fourth of five daughters born to Wilbert James O’Connor and Tillie Marie O’Connor. She was a 1949 graduate of South Saint Paul High School in MN.
Sally O’Connor Barrow worked for 11 years at the Haas Livestock Commission in South St. Paul, MN. In 1959, Sally relocated to Denver, CO where she was employed for 33 years by Texaco as an Executive Secretary in the Producing Dept., which specialized in Petroleum Engineering, Land, and Environmental Security. In her career, Sally earned certification as a Dale Carnegie Class Certified Professional Secretary and was a Dorothy Carnegie public speaking course graduate. She was a member of the Professional Secretaries International and Desk and Derrick, an educational organization for women. Sally was a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) of the Year!
Sally was an avid golfer, world traveler, fitness instructor, and volunteer, who loved the winters skiing in CO. Sally cared for and gave to many charities in her lifetime. She always thought of ways to benefit others.
Sally O’Connor married Guy M. Barrow in Denver on 7/28/1994. In 2008, they moved to Riverside view Resort in Bullhead City, AZ. In the spring of 2022, Sally moved back to her home state of MN to live at Timber Hills senior living home. Sally’s parents, husband, and sisters all proceeded her in death. She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be in Hastings, MN on 9/26/2026.
