Sallisue Niemi

Salli Niemi, 70, of Burnsville, passed away Sunday surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 2, 1940 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Gerald and Marie Sutter. Salli is survived by Jon, her husband of 48 years, daughter Jill (Jerry Johnston) Niemi, son Mathew Jon (Nicole) Niemi, granddaughter Summer Jade Halloran-Niemi, brother Stanley, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary. Salli loved her family, and was like a parent to her children??(TM)s friends. She was passionate about gardening, traveling to Texas with Jon, sewing, skiing, reading, solving crossword puzzles, the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. Salli will be forever missed and treasured. A Gathering of Friends and Family is scheduled for 10-11 AM Saturday, with Memorial Services to follow at 11, Saturday, November 19 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley (952) 432-2331. Memorials are preferred.
