Rutherford Scott

Rutherford R. Scott, age 84, of Hastings, Minnesota, formerly of Salem & Hillsboro, Oregon, passed away on May 14, 2014 at Augustana Care Center. Rutherford was born to Rutherford & Cora Scott in Fertile, MN. He married Ramona Maixner in Salem, Oregon on December 17, 1954. He served in the United States Navy from 1949-1950 and 5 years in the Reserves in San Diego. Rutherford started his career with US Bank as a teller, running proofing machines and ended his career 40 years later as the Vice President of Personnel and Operations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was a history buff. He was loved by everyone he came in contact with, he was always interested in what was going on in the lives of those around him. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruth Haskins; Mildred Trupzak; Arlene Scott; Betty Jean Scott; Marlyn Scott; brother, Marvin Scott.He is survived by, wife, Ramona; children, Kevin Scott; Kimberly Scott Vroman; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Ardell Sherman; Phyllis Strohecker; many nieces and nephews. No services were held.
