Ruth Soltis Marko

Ruth Soltis Marko, age 96 of South Minneapolis, recently of Buffalo, born February 20, 1911 in Tabor, MN, passed away October 20, 2007. Ruth taught country school in the Tabor, MN area for several years, then married and moved to South Minneapolis where she lived for over 60 years. In her later years she worked in several different offices at the Uof M. Preceded in death by husband, John and granddaughter, Heather Schrader. Ruth is survived by daughters, Renee (Harold) Burrows and Susan (Darrel) Schrader; grandchildren: Jason (Amy), Sonja (Mark) Oelfke, Suzanne, Michelle (John) Nygaard and Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Matthew, Jake and Peter Burrows and Alexis and Kaitlyn Oelfke. Funeral service 11:00 am, Friday, October 26, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church, 5084 Main street E., Maple Plain. Visitation 5-8, Thursday, with prayers at 7 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S, Mpls. and also one hour before the service at church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers. The family acknowledges with extreme gratitude, the 19 months of love and care given Ruth by the staff of Sunrise Cottages of Buffalo. They were exceptional.
