Johnson, Ruth Luverne (nee Kemmer), age 91, born May 27, 1915 to Jess & Lillain Kemmer in Racine, MN; after a long and spirited life, passed to the hereafter on October 25, 2006. Preceded by husband of 57 years, Iner J. Johnson; baby sons, Richard and Bruce; son, James Johnson and his daughter, Tiffany; sister, Lois Powell. Survived by sister, Nela (Vernon) Ward; sons, Roger (Vicki) Johnson, Michael (Irene) Lemeiux; grandchildren, Erik Johnson, Chad (Marie) Johnson, Brad and Jason Lemeiux and Amber Johnson; great-grandchildren, Steven, Ashley and Tyler Johnson; niece, Gloria Newville; nephews, Dr. James V. Ward and David Ward. Service and celebration of Ruth’s life will be 10:00 AM Monday at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. Visitation 1/2 hour prior to service. Interment Lakewood. Memorials to The Salvation Army are preferred.
