Ruth C. Chamberlain

Ruth Catherine (Stoudt) Chamberlain, age 89 of Hastings died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Regina Medical Center. Ruth was born February 12, 1924 in Hastings to George and Esther (Wilhelm) Stoudt. She was a graduate of Hastings High School, class of 1943 and married Fay Chamberlain in 1943. Ruth was formerly employed at Dakota County Courthouse for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fay; son David Chamberlain; sisters Helen Komorouski and Elsie Powers; brother Paul Stoudt. Ruth is survived by her daughter Lois (John) Hoeft of Welch; siblings Anna Hughes of Lincoln, NE, Edith Chamberlain and John (Charlotte) Stoudt of Hastings; Marian Finegan of Mound, MN and George Stoudt of Hastings; grandchildren Tim Chamberlain, Brian Hoeft and Melissa Hoeft; great-grandchildren Grayson, Nolan, Kolton, Bransen and Trentan Hoeft and Oliver Chamberlain; also special friend Arne Thorsgaard. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Chris Kneen will be held 11 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at the United Methodist Church of Hastings, 615 West Fifteenth Street in Hastings. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers are Morris Chamberlain, Roger Chamberlain, Kevin Chamberlain, Mark Chamberlain, Tom Stoudt and Terry Stoudt.
