Roy W. Soderberg

Soderberg, Roy W. Age 91, passed peacefully on 3/15/09, in Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lydia, his parents, 9 of his 12 close siblings, & passed in-laws. He was an awarded WWII Sgt. in the “Battery B” 125th Field Artillery Battalion of the 34th Redbull Infantry Div. Army, serving his country overseas in Africa & Italy. He retired from Burlington Great Northern Railroad as an honored 40 yr. employee. He is survived by daughters, Debra Pritchard & Donna (David) Gassler; his son, David (Rhonda); & treasured grandchildren, Brandon (Lindsay), Daniel (Katie Mae), Jacob, LeidiAnn, Janaya, Aundrea, Jonathan & Lisa; 1 great-granddaughter, Audrey Mae; his brothers, Carl (Lorraine) & Robert (Jane); & his sister, Louise Peterson; along with many extended family members & friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday 3/19 from 5-8 PM & on Friday 3/20 for 1 hr. before his 11 AM service at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. Honor guard & interment at Fort Snelling.
