Rosella M. Johnson, age 96, of Hastings died Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing, MN. Rosella was born October 20, 1913 in Jones County, IA to Otto and Elise (Balster) Behrends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Charles Stone and second husband Meridith Johnson; step-son Gary Johnson; siblings Elsie Swanson, Richard Behrends, and Marie Husting. Rosella is survived by her son Leon C. (Janet) Stone of West Des Moines, IA and daughter Frances (Stephen) Beying of Hastings; sister Ruth Spolar of Hastings; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; step-children Gordon (Mary) Johnson of Prescott, Norman (Shirley) Johnson of Prescott, and Shirley (Dwayne) Schreader of Rochester. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Richard Durow will be held 11am Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the St. Paul�s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1048 No. Campbell, Prescott, WI with the visitation held at church from 9:30am to 11am Saturday. Interment will follow in the Cottage Grove Cemetery.
