Rosella F. Vanvoltenberg

Rosella F. VanVoltenberg, age 73 of Hastings died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Regina Nursing Home, Hastings.Rose was born September 29, 1940 in Hastings, MN to Nick and Marie (Bauer) Brochman. She married James VanVoltenberg on June 28, 1965. She was employed as a waitress at the Mississippi Belle and the Black Stallion for many years before working at Augustana Health Care Center as a Dietary Cook for many years. Rose loved helping people and was known for giving her crochet, knitting, canning and cooking creations to those she thought would benefit from them. She will be dearly missed.She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Raymond Brochman and Eileen Lorentz. Rose is survived by her husband James; children Robert (Laurie) Larsen, Sherry (Dale) Morcomb, James Jr. (Kim), Lisa VanVoltenberg; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Katherine Hubley, Norbert (Caroline) Brochman, Dorothy (Lee) Noreen, Theresa (Edward) Siebenaler; also many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor James VanVoltenberg Jr., will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, January 9 at Berean Church, 18355 Red Wing Blvd., Hastings. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers will be Brandon Morcomb, Eric Morcomb, Gregg Larsen, Tyler Tentinger, Michael Dick, and Yvonne Dick. Honorary Pallbearers are Grace Larsen and Jennifer Carel. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
