Roseann Louise “Rosie” Swanson, 61, of Hastings Minnesota, passed away on April 18, 2026.
She was born on October 4, 1964, in Hastings, Minnesota, to Sherman and Gladys (Kasel) Swanson.
Rosie was a talented artist who loved sharing her creativity with the neighborhood children. She enjoyed peaceful walks by the river collecting rocks and shells, and she had a passion for puzzles—always choosing the most challenging ones. Her warm, welcoming presence made everyone feel included. She had a gift for noticing those who felt alone and drawing them into conversation. Her home was a safe and inviting place where kids and friends always felt welcome.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Frankie Swanson; and daughter, Mikayla Rose.
Rosie is survived by her son, Jordan; four grandchildren Lee’Ahna, Jermaine, Elijah and Ryella; brothers, Mark, Lance, and Grant; sisters, Mary “Ginger”, Pam (Brad Koster), Bonnie (Bruce) Whipple, Dianne Place, and Angela; many nieces and nephews; and the many “bonus children” and friends she considered family.
Rosie will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles Club, 1220 Vermillion Street, Hastings, MN 55033, on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
